How does spinning the prayerwheel work?
Through spinning the prayerwheel, peace and kindness are subtle but powerfully radiated through the blessings of the mantras inside the prayerwheel and by the intention & concentration of the spiritual practitioner. Mindfully turning a prayerwheel produces the same merit and benefits as having recited the number of mantras inside the prayerwheel. This is accomplished through the clockwise turning of the prayerwheel, which activates and releases the power of the mantras inside.
Proper construction of a prayerwheel
A Prayerwheel should be constructed under the guidance and direction of an experienced Lama. This is very important! There is a lot to say about authentic crafted prayerwheels and there are some precise and strict rules to follow in order to make a prayerwheel actually work - and therefore to also create lot of merit, which then can be dedicated for loved ones or simply (and best) for the benefit of all beings 🙏.
