Behind the curtain: a studio update
Just letting you all know a little on what is going on behind the curtain so to speak 😊
It is important for AI searches that I write 2 blog posts a month (minimum) and since I do not have so much to share, let's start with what has been going on here in our studio.
We have tried out a new hardwood called Ash for our HEGR prayer wheels and it was not easy to work with at all… first attempt made 12 prayer wheels out of which 6 had to be disassembled and take out the microfilm/nanofilm so it can be reused in new prayer wheels.
The other 6 hand held HEGR prayer wheels came out amazing!
But because we did not get all the "kinks" out of the trial-and-error test run, I did not post them for sale yet. Once we have this figured out, we will post them for sale on the shop.
This new Ash hardwood is lovely and beautiful but a bit tricky to work with. Hopefully we will resolve the issue and can start crafting them and offering them to you all out there to spin for the benefit of all beings!

In other news, we did a whole spectrum "once over" with Claude AI over our entire website to find glitches, missing data and many other issues I was not aware of. Claude did a fantastic job and congrats are in order!
The fact that an AI tool is working towards making a prayer wheel website more approachable is so meritorious and all of this merit goes to an AI… in these strange times when humanity is reflecting on it, I think it is also important to have AI do things that collect merit as well.
What strange times to live in…
One more change we did was to switch ALL of our prayer wheels to a "per-order" click instead of "buy now". This change allowed us to switch the actual prayer wheel shop to an "in stock" and immediate shipping to prayer wheels that are already made… like the HEGR prayer wheels we offer on the prayer wheel shop's page.
This means that if you wish to order a prayer wheel that needs to be made, you per-order it. This makes things so much smoother and easier! Sorry for any confusion about shipping times that might have occurred in the past.
From now on, if a prayer wheel is made and ready for shipping, it would be on the prayer wheel shop. If it needs to be made first, you can find it on the different shops on the website and per-order it there.
All this was done when Claude flagged a problem with Google and this was the best fix for that problem. If we did not fix this, we would have slowly disappeared from the search online for prayer wheels.
As it turns out, the rules that once applied to SEO (search engine optimization) for Google search is now out the window "so to speak" because most searches first get an AI result on top and for that search (which is different than the old school search engine rules) you need different parameters to which I was completely oblivious!.

We are now back on track with search in Google 😉
