I wish to share something very auspicious with all of you out there who follow us over the many years we have been crafting prayer wheels under H.E. Garchen Rinpoche.

Today is October 7th and three years ago we woke up to a very sad and horrible day which we will all remember till the very last breath of oxygen we will inhale in this body.

But today I wish to share with you all something bright. Something of light and beauty and not just of darkness…

This is a story of a very special couple of people we had the good fortune to meet.

We (me and Ayelet) live in a community called Kibbutz Ein Hashofet and the community holds around 1000 people counting the babies and old folks… the community was created on the 5th of July 1937 and we are still here, still doing fine. Today the community has changed a lot since its early days but the actual people still unite and feel and see each other and chose to live here and follow the rules of the community.

One family from our community went for a few weeks' vacation in Vietnam and looked for someone who would "house sit" for them while they are away and feed the cats and water the plants.

A very cute couple took up this invite and came to house sit for them.

We (me and Ayelet) knew nothing of this because we are not so involved with everything that happens and so one day we got a knock on the studio door and this couple came through the door into our studio.

"Harrison and Lily" they presented them selves "we were told we need to come and see your studio and meet the two of you" they said…

And so, here they are, these two kind hearted people who just walked through our door and we sat down and started talking.

Harrison had many questions about what we do, what are prayer wheels, how did we come to be prayer wheel makers and so on. We talked for a few hours and got to know each other.

Harrison is a very gentle old soul. He now helps people from all over the world by using his voice, his poems and his guided meditations that he posts on his YouTube channel, all in the name of helping out those who need it… a very noble cause and a very high life "meaning" in my book…

As the conversation went on, we started to feel as if we all know each other but not from this lifetime… a plan started growing in Harrison's mind… he wants a prayer wheel too! But not just any prayer wheel…

After hearing about prayer wheels and our life story connected to them, Harrison realized he wants us to craft a very special prayer wheel for him. One that would embody all of his work on this planet infused with the Mani mantra in the billions and all the peace prayers we have collected, and to that, add 11 different poems he wrote, all inside one prayer wheel, a spherical prayer wheel.

And then came the artwork on it… Ayelet's side of things… holy moly!!!

  • Harrison and Ayelet
  • Ayelet's hands painting this one of a kind prayer wheel
  • Ayelet painting the special prayer wheel we made for Harrison

Harrison had a few ideas on what he would like Ayelet to do on this prayer wheel and so came the time to craft this one-of-a-kind prayer wheel. after he and Ayelet discussed the artwork in details and finally settled on what would the artwork be on that prayer wheel it was time to start painting.

Harrison took the day to be with me as I crafted his prayer wheel and document the whole process. That clip of us working on this one-of-a-kind prayer wheel will come out in the next few days, so be on the lookout for that clip on our social media channels, it will blow your minds!

After sitting with us and talking about prayer wheels, Harrison took the book we had in the studio about prayer wheels, you all know the one (Wheel of Great Compassion by Dr. Lorne Ladner) and read it, he then made a 30 minute meditation (with spinning a prayer wheel or without spinning a prayer wheel, your choice) and shared it on his YouTube channel and linked us as collaborators, you can enjoy his work and devotion right here in this link:

And so, on this very dark day of sadness we got to do something absolutely incredible.

We crafted a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of a prayer wheel that is made with the intention of bringing peace and love into this world, to help us all see each other in the right light of loving kindness… to help and unite us all in the right way…

We (me and Ayelet) were talking last night on how fortunate we are, how "lucky" we are to be able to create something together, to help bring something into this world which is a tool of power to those who wish to bring loving kindness to all realms and to all who reside in those realms… what karma brought us together in this life? What karma made ALL of this happen? To be born into this place, this one-of-a-kind experiment in community life that has no equal anywhere on the planet in all history? To be born into THIS country and its people? All that history? Holy moly… and then meet H.E. Garchen Rinpoche and become prayer wheel makers?...

This could not have written down as a script for a movie… even if one wanted to…. So much auspiciousness… anyone who would see this movie would say we are making this stuff up…. Hahahahahahaha!

What a crazy lifetime this life is.

So grateful to be here with you all on this floating rock in space, at this time, with all of you here together…

So glad to have come across Harrison and Lily!

So happy this meeting brought into existence this one very special prayer wheel!

Tomorrow it will be spinning (if all goes well) and you can see this masterpiece in action!

What a time to be alive.

What an auspicious lifetime this one is…

How fortunate we are to have gone through all of it and are still here crafting prayer wheels for the world… for world peace…

We love you all so much!

Be on the lookout in our socials in the next few days for the clip Harrison made of us crafting this one-of-a-kind prayer wheel for him!

Till next time, be kind, do good, love one another.

It will all end soon and we take nothing from this place when we go…

Lots of love

Micha (and Ayelet of course)
