"The Wheel Itself Is Enough Blessing" — H.E. Garchen Rinpoche on the Mantra Wrist Bands

Dear worldwide Sangha,

We are all praying and dedicating all our merit to our beloved Rinpoche who is now slowly recovering as we have been informed by the Garchen Buddhist institute a few days ago.

Thank you all for all you do to support Rinpoche and his long life and good health!

Today I wanted to talk about something that we have encountered over the past year and that is the rubber wrist bands that Rinpoche loves to put on his prayer wheel designs, for a long time, that is how Rinpoche likes to have his own prayer wheel and it has been loved by all of Rinpoche's students and followers.

It seems that over time, we started to see the prayer wheel as not blessed by Rinpoche unless it has these wrist rubber mantra bands so me and Ayelet asked the Garchen Buddhist Institute to send us (and we paid for of course) a lot of these to place on our HEGR prayer wheels and they did! We received them with great joy! And they came in 3 colors!

The last time we asked to have some shipped to us because we started getting low on supply, we got a response from Rinpoche that we would like to share with you all, I believe Rinpoche wanted everyone to hear this, and so I quote Rinpoche:

"No need to have the bracelets around the wheel – the wheel itself is enough blessing."

Now, this is very important point that Rinpoche is pointing to and we hope that we all understand and respect Rinpoche's advice so we do not get confused as to the holiness of the prayer wheel and its real power, rubber wrist mantra bands or not…

So, to sum up, from now on we will be shipping our prayer wheels that are ordered with the rubber bands till they run out (should not be long now) and then we will no longer have these on our HEGR prayer wheel design or on any other prayer wheel to be honest since we will be running out of these mantra rubber wrist bands and Rinpoche has shown us all a different path without them on prayer wheels…

if you'd like one of the last HEGR wheels with the traditional bands, you can find them here on our shop:

And on other news,

we feel that we need to change things around a bit because that is how we stay flexible in life, so here is something new!

As prayer wheel makers who craft prayer wheels for the world under the guidance of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, we have decided to try out a new hardwood we have never worked before in the past and that hardwood is called Ash.

Ash is a hardwood from the Olive family and it does have that special Olive hardwood smell when I turn it on the machine! The wood is very hard and so so beautiful!

We will be adding this new prayer wheel to our HEGR hardwood collection in a few days as we finish the first new HEGR prayer wheels made from Ash. Once they are made and are perfectly perfect, we will add them to the shop so pop in from time to time and see new prayer wheels made from a new hardwood!

May Garchen Rinpoche live long!!!

Micha & Ayelet
