Prayerwheels – new outlook for 2025 and the future
Many years ago, a Buddhist master and a very precious teacher to all beings came to Israel to give teachings and to make as many karmic connections to as many new beings as he can.
The year was 2008 and the master was H.E. Garchen Rinpoche.
That was when we first met Rinpoche in this lifetime, and it was the moment in our lives when the thought of crafting prayerwheels came to our minds. It was a bolt of lightning and there was nothing to do about it but start our long way to prayerwheel crafting.
For sure, it was the Wheel of Great Compassion book by Dr. Lorne Ladner that took us for a ride, and it was there inside that book where we realized that this is what we came to earth for. This is what we are now living for. This is the main reason for being reborn here in the human realm at this time.
Crafting prayerwheels.

It took a long time to understand all the little things we needed to understand about prayerwheel making, and it was in that very same book where we learned the powerful karmic power of karma and prayerwheels. We knew that this is the real deal for us, and we should put all our effort into making this happen.
Now, many years later we find ourselves at a point in time where we have never been before, but we are very happy to be at!
When we were at the Garchen Buddhist Institute on June 1st this year 2025 for a visit we learned that we (Me and Ayelet) are for now the only prayerwheel makers in the Sanga… all others stopped crafting prayerwheels for some reason… for sure we had many times over the past 16 years that we were about to give up, stop crafting prayerwheels and go back to doing what humans do on earth, but every time this thought came up, after enough time a solution to our problems would appear and we go back to crafting prayerwheels.
Many many times this has happen but we were able to push through each and every obstacle and come out on the other side.
The many times we faced an obstacle that was impossible to pass through, if we just kept at it and not fold, eventually something would arrive and break the obstacle. This went on for 16 years…
About CNC crafted prayerwheels
At some point in time there was a Sanga member that crafted CNC (automated lathe) prayerwheels in Taiwan, and they were for sale at the Garchen Buddhist Institute's shop. This went on for a few years I think until he could not make them anymore. Now, we need to fill this gap.
Although our globe sphere world peace prayerwheels are a hit and are coveted by many, it is the regular, the usual, the "normal" prayerwheel we need to find a solution for. We need to start crafting CNC prayerwheels so that we could answer the number of orders we have and for sure take the price down a bit since they will be made by a machine and not hand made one by one.
After so many years of crafting authentic prayerwheels according to tradition, and after seeing so many "regular" prayerwheels that have nothing in them or newspaper or just blobs of ink on a roll of paper, we feel confident that we can provide this world with perfectly made (machine made) prayerwheels to help H.E. Garchen Rinpoche achieve his goal of spreading prayerwheels around this world to be spun with the intention of helping all beings…
We will start our journey of finding who will craft them for us with their CNC machines. Once this process has begun, we will come out with an email explaining all this, we will then hopefully be able to ship them all to GBI and the shop there.
Prayerwheels have now jumped one level up for us.
This is a move many have tried so hard to make us do, craft one kind of design by CNC to lower the costs and to lower the amount of time and energy spent on my lathe…. But I was stubborn.
Only after the 3000-prayerwheel mark came, only then did my mind shift to this new possibility. So now, that is where we are.
Crafting all the orders we have and looking for the right person, the right machinist to do this for us.
Now, back to the lathe!
We love you all so much
Micha & Ayelet
